Delight is a dynamic team member with a master’s degree in elementary education from Grand Canyon University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development from Eastern Oregon University. She is a licensed teacher in the states of Oregon and Idaho and has more than 12 years of teaching experience over a variety of topics. Spending many years at Slater Elementary school in Oregon, Delight worked with special needs children on developing necessary skills to meet grade requirements in mathematics and reading, while also being tasked with conflict resolution and de- escalation among students with anger management difficulties.
After spending a few years in the academic world, Delight began to develop her own curriculums for learning, which she used at Hines middle school in Oregon to jumpstart their struggling music program and used this experience to create a new curriculum for the Slater Elementary students in Burns, Oregon, where she was able to use music to teach them important lessons in mathematics, geography, biology, foreign language, and world cultures.
In addition to these impressive innovations, Delight has spent more than 18 years dedicated to volunteer service for children from all over the world, hosting exchange students, caring for foster children, and volunteering for Reading Interventions for Struggling Students
